The Trials That Led To The One

Before I found the man that loves me the way I deserve to be loved, I was a girl fighting silent battles no one ever saw. 

At 14 I experienced rape for the first time. The fear, shame, and self blame that I carried, for an act that happened to me, led down a dark path of depression, anxiety, an addiction to porn, lust and sex that God never intended for us to experience outside of the bonds of marriage. 

I lived this lie for many years until I found the love of my life. The man who helped me escape, heal, rebuild and grow into a loving, godly, christian, wife and mother. 

But this isn't just any story. This is MY STORY, my healing and my truth. Yes, it's a testimony of pain but it's more than that it's the story of finding love when I thought I was too damaged to be loved. Of meeting the man who showed me what safety and self respect looked like. It's the story of becoming the woman I never belived I could be.
